During a special assembly, we welcomed Clare Davison (Social Value Manager), Grant Whyte (Project Manager), Laura Bains (Social Value Coordinator) and Dudley the Elephant (Safety Mascot!) from the ESH group who are building our new school.
On Tuesday 17th March the team from Esh Construction visited Bowburn Primary School (Infants) to deliver their ‘Stay Safe’ presentation.
Through a whole school assembly, we engaged with Bowburn Infant school students to provide them with an overview of their new primary school build project, whilst highlighting the key dangers of construction sites. The presentation aims to instil the importance of safety around construction sites.
Stay Safe presentations help to reduce incidents, anti-social behaviour, build stronger relationships with the local community and raise awareness of what happens behind the site hoardings. The presentation provides a great opportunity to promote our ‘Everyone Safely Home’ campaign to residents and be a ‘Considerate Constructor’.
Students were encouraged to participate in the Stay Safe competition, by designing a poster to display on our site. The winning entries will be selected and enlarged to be displayed on our site hoardings. An exciting opportunity for their artwork to be displayed in the local community.
