We were pleased to welcome Debs and Amanda from the Great North Air Ambulance Charity this morning . They came into our assemblies with KS1 and KS2 to talk about the important work that the GNAA does to help people who are seriously hurt and injured , in order to get them to hospital quickly. We found out lots of interesting facts such as the air ambulances have helped 17,000 people so far , they fly at 200mph and it costs £60 per minute to operate them ! The children asked lots of good questions and enjoyed seeing mascot Miles the Bear at the end.
School Council helped decide on the Charity the children wanted to support in the summer term, and out of all the different charities suggested, the GNAA was by far the most popular. We hope to fund raise next term , as this term we are fund raising for the people of Ukraine.
