As the Autumn term draws to a close , I’d like to thank everyone for their hard work and efforts at making it such a success for the children: to parents and carers for bringing their children to school everyday and supporting them with settling back into routines and for helping so much with their learning, both in school and during the times when children have had to isolate at home. Your support is, as ever, really appreciated. We couldn’t do it without you !
The staff for working so hard ( in sometimes very difficult circumstances) and adapting to the new Covid landscape , while still managing to keep things as normal as possible for the children.
And last but by no means least, I’d like to praise the children themselves ! It’s been a joy to have every single one of the children back in school this term, eager and ready to learn. Children have shown resilience and determination to get back on track and make up for learning time lost during the lockdown earlier in the year. Staff have been thrilled with how hard they have worked, behaviour has been excellent and their enthusiasm hasn’t waned from the first day back in September up to today.
As a school we have worked hard to keep everyone safe and we have only had three positive cases of Covid 19 since September. But this has meant that three bubbles unfortunately have had to isolate over the term. We think we have got better at providing online learning and communicating with parents and pupils ( via Dojo and the website) to ensure that learning has continued uninterrupted. Thank you for all your support with this.
Please keep checking your email and the website and Bowburn Primary FaceBook page over the holidays incase of any updates
(including notifications of close contacts of positive cases) should they occur.
Who knows what 2021 will bring ? But we all hope, like no doubt you do, life will slowly start to return to normal!
On behalf of all the staff at Bowburn Primary we wish you all a very Merry Christmas , and a safe and happy New Year.
