Visitors from Nepal!

21st October 2019 By trishfay

We were pleased and honoured to welcome Mr Binod Kumar Koirala and Mr Suresh Shreshtha to Bowburn Primary School. Their visit is part of our long standing British Council Connecting Classrooms Partnership with Gladstone Academy in Thimi, Nepal.
Mrs Glass introduced them to our pupils and staff during a Welcome Assembly.
During their week long stay, they spent time in both Infant and Junior departments, observing and collecting ideas to take back to their school. They also spent time with Mrs Fay and her family visiting South Shields for a traditional fish and chips lunch and their first taste of mushy peas! They were both very interested and informed during a trip to Beamish Museum. Binod and Suresh also spent an entertaining evening with Adam Bushnell.
Our partnership, and friendship,  has been running strongly now for 9 years and we hope to continue for many years to come.
